What We Do

Our mission is to provide indie game developers with the necessary resources to create and launch their perfect game. Whether you need marketing, hardware, software, or assets to give you the time and peace of mind required, we can help.

Founded by IT industry professionals and backed by an experienced indie developer, we understand the struggles and barriers game developers face in making their dream projects come to life. We intend to remove as many of those obstacles as possible.

We aim to provide a comprehensive suite of resources to help indie devs turn their passion for gaming into successful and sustainable businesses, including funding, mentorship, and networking opportunities. Whether a solo developer or part of a small team, OCIA Spark is here to help you take your game development to the next level.

We've been where you are, and now we're here to help you get where you want to go.

How We Work

After filling in our Developer Questions, we'll reach out to have an informal conversation about your project. No strings or obligations - we're just excited to hear what you have planned! From there, we can discuss what assistance you need and what we can offer.

We can help you with a flexible budget and never make demands or expect milestones in return. We'll also assist you in getting your Ltd business established, discuss how you can benefit from grants and tax relief (if available), and any other queries you may have. We also have legal experts to assist you with NDAs, bespoke asset design and purchases, and even hiring contractors to make your game successful.

Once the game is released, we can even provide advice about further marketing and growing your community.

Unlike the average publisher agreement, we take a percentage cut of the sales (less than Steam's store fee) for our investment and assistance until an agreed total return is made. From there, we expect a much smaller percentage ongoing. While these percentages can vary depending on the investment needed, we are always upfront with costs and want all developers to take home the largest share of sales from day one onwards - you did the hard part, after all!

Every developer will seek something different, so we don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.

Who We Are

OCIA Spark was formed by a group of friends who have a passion for gaming in all its forms. From several multi-year D&D campaigns and vast libraries of tabletop games, to playing online together into the wee hours of the morning - we want to see more games reach larger audiences so everyone can enjoy them as much as we do!
